Woodworking/carpentry Experience

I am 57 and have been a woodworker since I was in my early 20's.I have worked in cabinet shops, and for general construction companies over the years. From 1999 to 2008 I owned and operated my successful cabinet company, integrating drum making into the mix in 2005.

After moving into a smaller shop in 2007, I went back to work for a builder in 2008 so I could focus on my drum designs and methods.

I have been a drummer off and on since I was 5 yrs old, and did attend Berklee College of Music. I have played and recorded with many musicians, and did a fair amount of studio work in my late teens early twenties. I primarily wrote and recorded with my own band off and on over the years. I have taken many breaks from playing, but always come back to it. Writing and recording original music is what enjoy most an about drums and drumming.

In April of 2016 Bucks County Drum Co was reviewed in Modern Drummer for the first time with a positive outcome. The article focused on our Semi solid shell design…a cutting edge idea that packs a punch and is easy to tune. After a few changes, the shop was relocated to it's current spot in Warrington Pa. During the past 7 years, the focus has been on new shell designs, which is where we stand now. The shells are all ply starting with raw or two ply veneers. This allows for many advantages over buying shells from manufacturers, especially where alternate species are concerned. We incorporate our own mold designs, consistent glue integration, various species, blended designs, and many many years of experience making the best drums we possibly can…
